Can you believe it has been 11 years since No Doubt released a studio album and that they have been together since 1986?! I am more than a little impressed by their longevity. I also can’t wait for the yet-to-be-named LP hitting shelves on September 25th. Until then, I have to be content with the video below, featuring a brief preview of their new song, Push & Shove.

Feist at Radio City Music Hall

Saturday night was a memorable night at Radio Music Hall. Feist rocked the stage, danced in the crowd, and angered the ushers by letting people bum rush to the front to fill out the empty pit seats. The highlight of the evening? When Feist sang Caught a Long Wind, my absolute favorite song from her album, Metals. If you ever get a chance to see her live, you should definitely grab at the chance. Woman plays a mean guitar. Check out her live performance of the song for the Canadian Broadcasting Company below.

Although I am not one of the fortunate few to visit the Coachella festival (or am I lucky? Do you know how crowded it is?!), there is a video of SBTRKT’s performance making its way around the interweb. Wildfire is one song I immediately associate with the summer, more specifically the summer of 2011. Why? I have no idea. Things happen naturally that way. Check out the official below as well.

Still Reliving My Italian Getaway

I am still in a haze after coming back from an eight day vacation in Italy. It is strange to return to a normal routine once you have stepped inside what must be the sweet life. Drinking in public? Yes, the Italians do it with aplomb. Florence during sunset? It was My Room with a View dream come true. Venice? Like a surreal painting that you can walk through. I am trying to embed each memory in mind so I may relive each with relative ease. But if that fails, there is always the four hundred pictures I obsessively took.

Although I found Kristen Stewart laughable in Twilight, I really can’t wait to see her, Chris Hemsworth, and Charlize Theron in Snow White and the Huntsman. Theron plays the maniacal Ravenna and, to be honest, she will be the reason the movie makes box office gold. Watch the extended 5-minute trailer and make sure to mark June 1st on your calendar.
